Re: Temp Gauge

First thing to check would be to make sure that the coolant temp sending unit wire is still attached. It's located on the driver's side of the motor, in between the #1 and #3 spark plugs.

If you have to jack up the car to service whatever you are seeing, you're looking at the wrong part.

Re: Temp Gauge

The temp sender is right between the #1 and #3 spark plugs with that yellowish plastic connector. Might be a little harder to get to with stock manifolds.

Exclamation Re: Temp Gauge

my temp gauge wasn't working either so after reading this post i checked mine. the wire was hanging loose and it looks like the sensor got broken or burnt off. so i've got the sensor broken off and stuck in the block. anybody got any BRIGHT ideas on how the get the broken piece out.

Re: Temp Gauge

Vise grips? Your sensor is toast already and if it is that broken off that you cannot get a socket on it, might as well go with the vise grips.
