hmm...my speedo doesn't work unless im moving at 10mph+... if your speedo isnt working for a good 10 miles, i wouldn't doubt it's your VSS acting up on you. $60+ bucks to pick up a stock replacement at the dealership. just put the gear from the old VSS into the new one when you replace it.

From Chilton's manual:
The VSS is located on the transmission and sends a pulsing voltage signal to the ECM which is converted to miles per hour. This sensor mainly controls the operation of the TCC (torque converter clutch) system, shift light, cruise control, and activation of the EGR system.
