T-56 swap

i am wanting to swap 700R4 for a T-56 and am wondering if a T-56 from a '97 C-5 work? I know that the input shaft will have to be replaced for the swap and the cross member is different. Thanks

Nope, wont work. Not only is the input shaft different, i believe the LS1's use a different type of fork. I also believe the flywheel is a 2 piece rear main seal while your's is a 1 piece. IMO its not worth it. Find a set from a 94-97 F body, Will be much easier on yourself.

BTW the bellhousing is off.

Input shaft, bellhousing, front plate, clutch hydros, and the clutch itself are all different. The input shaft alone is $380 from GM. Unless you can get it for free, it's not worth it.
