Strength of a 10-bolt?

I searched but couldn't find anything. How much hp/tq can a 10-bolt take being driven every day? Thanks
-Rippin

EDIT: I'm asking so I know if I will need to change to a 9-bolt before the new motor. Keep in mind its already got 138,xxx miles on it.

there is no set in stone figure....they live behind LS1's with no problem yet die behind LG4's...it all depends on how they are treated...are you doing 3000rpm clutch drops? Do you have a shift kit that nails every gear? That will shorten the life, but if you have a 400 HP cruiser that see limited beatings then you will live for awhile.

I've got an M5 so I'm the shift kit So I geuss it'll be alright. I don't have an idea what kind of power I'll be making. Nothing radical. Can anyone give me an estimate?

A ROUGH estimate?

behind a stick it wont last u very long. it is somewhat strong behind a auto, but a stick is too much shock for a 10 bolt to handle with any amount of traction

The 5-sp will die before the 10-bolt rear. There is a reason GM did not offer the manual with a 350 (TORQUE). However; if you drive like a insane person with a new engine, nothing will last.

Around 275 to 300 hp, or so. It is the tuned port system holding you back, believe it or not. Still, that will get you into the low-14s or high-13s on a very nice day.
