UI was wondering how much HP my car puts out everything is stock i have a LG4 305 HO carburated (cant spell it right =x)

 

IF its the LG4 then its a 155hp engine.

If its the L69 which is classified as the HO engine its 190 hp

Now im confused i looked up my vin on thirdgen.org and it says I have the LG4 motor which is rated at 155 hp but Krazzy said that the L69 is the HO motor.

So what im thinking is that my car really isnt an HO and the seller just threw the HO air filter cap on there?

 

Recheck your VIN NUMBERS the eighth diget is the engine type.
H=LG4 @155 HP & 245 TQ
G=L69 @190 HP & 240 TQ
Now if it is the L69 and the Air cleaner says 305 HO that means you have only a High Output air cleaner. Another reason NEVER to belive the seller when he tells you what engine is under hood. Always do your Homework before the sale NOT after.

H is the LG4
G is the L69

 

I really didnt care what it was i got the car for 400$ just wanna know what i got now.

After i get back from MMI (motorcycle technical institute) I'm gonna drop a bill mitchell crate engine in the car so its all good.

9.5:1 compression, DOHC (dual ovehead cam), IMRC (intake manifold runner control), SFI (sequential fuel injection). Put all that on a SBC and you get the 405HP LT5 from the ZR1. Don't compare a smogger era 305 to a late model "performance" V6...
