starter question
alright, i still can't get the car to start well, but i can start it 2 out of 10 times now.
all grounds are testing good
all wires are tight and reading the right voltage
battery tests good and works well in other vehicles
starter tested good
alternator tested good
i can now get the car to start however it's very hard....almost as if the teeth on the starter aren't meshing with the flywheel just to give an idea?
if the starter is checking out good what else can cause this?

Grab a 1/8" drill bit - get under the car and slide it between the teeth on the flex plate/flywheel and starter, it should fit perfectly, if it doesnt fit, u need to shim the starter out a bit cuz its bnding, if its got too much play, shim the starter inwards to close the gap - most flex plates arent 100% round, so if theres too much clearance, theres gonna be pointa on the flex plate where it wont start.
