I'm gonna get an adjustable protorque mini starter from summit or something, it'll be worth the money.

The 14" flex has like 1/4-1/2" all around in the 700r4 bellhousing, it's pretty tight(compared to a 12 3/4), but the engine is bolted to the trans, when the engine moves the trans moves, there should be no reason to need any more clearance, if my bellhousing is flexing more then that I have a whole different problem.
