Its my good friend's engine. That is naturally aspirated, on the bottle it made over 700 horsepower. Ran 11.3's on the motor and close to 10.0's on the bottle. Car wasnt really set up for nitrous (converter/ gearing).

What more do you want to know about the motor?

Factory forged 350 crankshaft, 3.48 stroke
Eagle H beam rods (6" I believe)
JE Forged Pistons
Cammotion custom ground nitrous camshaft

so youre saying he basically just rebuilt the motor with new pistons and rods, higher compression and slapped on a pourly matched cam with some nice heads and got 527hp?

this doesnt seem quite right

He rebuilt the motor with quality parts so that it would spin some RPM (well over 7000 rpm). What you lack in displacement with a 350 you can certainly make up in RPM with a shorter stroke than a 383 or a 400 derivative. The camshaft is a solid roller nitrous camshaft, but it does ok for n/a performance as well. It is in the neighborhood of 255/265@.050 and well over .700 lift on a 112 LSA.

Just for your reference, Car Craft threw together an 11:1 355. It had out of the box e-tec 200 cylinder heads, a big flat tappet solid camshaft and a few other goodies and made well over 500 horsepower.

LOL no kidding. A lot of people are religiously scared of over camming a motor. You just have to make sure that you have the compression, displacement and cylinder head flow to match the camshaft you have chosen. I am the only person out of my whole "crew" who has a camshaft with less than 240* @.050.

I think my combo is a real life, low HP example that Damon was
refering to. About 330-340 hp with decent traction, 1.79 60 ft.
and it went 12.88. See sig for details

This is the combo I'm trying with a slightly smaller cam(Nitrous HP 274 grind). If I remember, they went pretty aggressive with the cam.(250+ duration). I'm still suprized they got that kind of power and I almost don't believe it. I'm not terribly impressed with the flow numbers of these E-Tec 200 heads and mine even have bowl work, polished chambers, a better valvejob/cut, polished ports, and a HEAVILY port matched Air Gap RPM intake. Hopefully it's as efficient as that particular buildup. Wish me luck!
