Sparked something in engine bay

I was putting a spark plug in today while I was doing my header install. Stupid me didnt disconnect the battery this time. While tightining the spark plug there was a spark. After that nothing powered up when I turned the keys. My alarm light was blinking rapidly and my horn kept beeping at a slow pace lightly. How bad did I mess up? What do you think happend? I have the battery unpluged now but I havent pluged it back in since im in the middle of a header install. Any help is appreciated.

I would guess you just screwed up the alarm somehow. Does the alarm have the capability to prevent it from starting?

Changing the number 6 or 8 plug were we? There's a good chance you shorted the starter terminal to ground and blew a fusible link. Start there.

Yes I was working on the #8 plug. Where would I find the fusible link?

Re: Sparked something in engine bay

Update: we plugged the negative all the way back into the battery and everything appears to be fine The lights where you put your feet light up, instrument cluster powers up, radio works so I think I didnt mess anything up hopefully. I just hope she starts up. I cant wait to hear it! Thanks for the help guys.
