Post smog pump removal

Hey guys,
Heres the plan: When it comes time to change my belt, which will be soon, I want to take the smog pump off this beast. Any there any holes that will need to be plugged and if so, what would be the best way to plug them? I've heard the computer doesn't even care once it's gone anyway.

I'm pretty sure the computer will know that the EGR is gone. For that, you will have to blank out Code 32 in your EPROM.

You will have to remove the tube going to the cat and plug up that hole. After that, remove all the hoses coming from the pump. Take the valves off the AIR pipes and plug them. Zip tie the wires that go to the AIR valve and you are done.

Where might one pick up a delete pulley? Say for a car with the serpentine system?

the question: you are gettin an egr plate? Well, I'm assuming I will need that to put over the hole. Delete pully? How's all that work? Leave the pump? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks guys.

When we gutted it, it had no resistance. You could spin it and it would spin freely.

I've either removed or gutted the smog pumps on all my camaros I've owned and it has never caused a service engine light to come...ie no trouble codes...

EGR will cause an error code unless you fix the EPROM. AIR system is controlled by the computer but does not cause problems. If I am not mistaken, the AIR Divert Solenoid diverts air to the AIR tubes on the manifold or headers only when it is cold. Rest of the time it goes to the cat. When it is cold, the ECM is in closed loop and disregards the O2 so it won't notice that no fresh air is going to the manifold which is before the O2 sensor going down from the exhaust manifold or header.
