don't want them oval rims

hey i was planning on going to the junk yard around where i live so i could pick up some different rims for my 82' maro just until i can afford some new ones the only thing is i want to make sure they're perfectly round is there anyway i can do that or is it just a roll of the dice??

Well, I would assume that its just gonna be a roll of the dice. Normally its pretty hard to bend a rim. You have to hit a curb pretty hard or fall into the grand canyon of pot holes. You'd probably be able to visibly inspect them. If they are badly scuffed, they are probably no good... Just use your best judgement.

I would have to agree. Rims don't just wear out and go out of round, you pretty much have to hit something to take them out of round. If you have any doubts about the rim, take it to a tire shop and have it thrown on a tire balancer. If it has bent the barrel of the rim ( which is damage that is not visible or covered up by repairs) it will show up once spinned at a higher RPM. Any reputable used parts place should take back the rim, with in an acceptable time frame without question.
