Question Slp Header question-

Anyone out there know if I have to buy the gaskets which seal the headers and y-pipes from SLP or will the local auto parts store carry a similar gasket which will do the same job. I hate to think that I have to buy the whole installation kit for two gaskets-thanks in advance-

Re: Slp Header question-

It's just a 2 1/2" doughnut gasket. Muffler shops and auto parts stores have them. I've gotten them from Advance Auto Parts before, but you have to dig through their bins to find them.

Re: Slp Header question-

I hate to nitpick, but it's not 2.5". They list it as 2 and 17/32" It's called a sintered metal donut gasket, and nearly ANY auto parts store will have those kind of gaskets. You may have to search several stores though, as many don't carry them that large. Listed for late 70s through early 90s GM 350-454ci trucks.
