is this a joke????

lets consider this you have a 350 tpi, headders, adjustable fuel pressure reg., hypertec chip, 8.8mmMSD wires, plenium ported, air fin in plenium, modified the MAF sensor(remove screens) K&N air filters hooked up to ram air, then you are looking at putting some extra ponnies behind the hood, what would you do when you ran across an add that said this...brand new in box Electric Supercharger. This charger runs up to 1200 CFM. THIS UNIT IS NEW AND IMPROVED. WITH DIFERENT INTERNALS, THIS UNIT TRULY BLOWS THE COMPETITION AWAY. YOU COMPARE THIS AND THE ERAM CHARGER AND ITS LIKE BLOWING AIR THROUGH A STRAW WITH THE ERAM. THIS CHARGER IS SIMPLY AMAZING. You will see a 20-40 whp gain from this.
say that this unit ran $110 dollars, what would you do????how many CFM can an engine like this put out, will it add the extra ponies?....now not looking at long term use just a couple of summers until you could buy the real thing???what do you think....

see if they sell it in a package deal with the tornado fuel saver.

What would I do? I would laugh and wonder how many people would waste 110 bucks on that.

Re: is this a joke????

Well fellas no one has answered my question, how many cfms at full throttle and about 3/4 does the engine put out.....i know this thing is most likely a pile, one other point i would like cleared up is that a electic supercharger couldnt make compression, well this is news to me maybe you need to look up the deffinition of compression. the real question that you are missing is how much compression it makes? this would then depend on how big the electric motor is, the fan angles, and area in which the air can be compressed. now fellas dont get me wrogn i am sure that this is as good as the tornado fuel saver, but give me some numbers to back the claims

LMAO.

your gettin too technical on something that DOES NOT WORK.

want to get it a cheaper way?

go into your garage/shed and get out your leave blower. rig it into the intake, start your car,and plug in/start the blower.

i promise you that you wont notice a difference.

Re: is this a joke????

please answer me this
1. how many cfm's does the engine require at full throttle.

2. how many pounds of psi does a regular supercharger put out.

listen people this isnt hard im dont get mad there is no reason to. Just answer the questions and we can all move on with our lives....by the way the leave blower doesnt work the same way as a blower, and depending on how powerful the motor is it may help....

i dont see anyone getting mad,i see people laughing at someone who actually thinks an electric S/C will work.

to answer #1. depends on what kinda intake and throttle body size you have i would imagine.

#2. a normal S/C w/ the supplied pulley is usually like 5 or 6 psi.

Re: is this a joke????

I am sure it would help, maybe not as much as they claim. Think about, ram air, it almost the same thing, anything that doesnt make the motor work as hard to get the same amount of air will help it. As long as it feeds it enough. This thing may put out 1200cfm but if an LT1 need 1300cfm(cant see it being that much) @WOT then it would hurt it. I still wouldn't waste my money, if I was that curious I would make my own and try it for a lot less then $110. And to answer your question, I dont know how much an LTX,LSX needs @ WOT. There are a lot of variables to that.

Re: is this a joke????

rice killer maybe down in virgina they dont teach much about physics....or you dont have capacity to understand what i am getting at...if your engine dosnt require 1200 cfms then pressure will build up and then you will increase horsepower, if you think you or anyone else can put a hole in that argument go ahead i would love to hear it....by the way thanks for posting some numbers to back things up....i have a 58mm throtle body....and by the way those who are laughing you should try to put a whole in my arument...i would love to see it...

Re: is this a joke????

dude clam down no one is trying to prove you wrong its just a common agree ment that those things dont work if they did really help dont you think that the guys on this site would like them you know as like a begginer thing. Dont get offended i personaly believe that those electric s/c s cant really hurt but also they cannot actually help in a noticible way otherwise i would buy one too its not like a 110$ would put a huge dent in my s/c fund

my advice is save for the real thing dont try to cheapen the glory of the s/c

also sorry i dont have any#s for you just some food for thought

Re: is this a joke????

I don't have the data for cfm for you. Sorry.

I could put holes in both your grammar and theories.

There is no way to measure how much "compression" your electric motor makes off the car. Boost is a measurement of engine restrictions.

Why don't you just buy it instead of taking our words for it and then you can tell us much hp you picked up.
