Slow Turning Start,whats the deal
84 Z28.........When I go to start my car, somtimes it turns over really slow..& then WHAM it starts. I just had the alt replaced,my battery gage is up around 13,so I know its charging the battery. It seems to happen after I have been drivin awhile.Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?......Man its always somthing
Of the several things it could be, the starter is the most likely cause. And since you claim its worse after driving, it sounds like you are heat soaking the starter. I'd replace the starter while its warning you it needs attention, rather than waiting for it to quit altogether and leave you stranded

"Lol! you don't bake a potato in five minutes it takes time! Your starter has been there for awhile and gets cooked every day, some times the starer never goes out, other times they only last a short time. It just depends on the day and person who made it,and their quality control. Cheap replacement starters (ie.Peep Boyz,Kragens, etc.) don't hold up well as they are made in foreign countries with poor quality control, affordible yes, dependible NO"
