A lot of older cars have white lens' on them ,I'm not to sure it's illegal,as long as you have them. Call your local(or maybe a couple of towns away in case they start looking)Highway Patrol and ask they would be able to tell you,if not the DMV could.

T.

PS. What did you use to glue and fill with?

So how was this done? Some sort of plastic 'welder' or something that melts the plastic parts together?

I'm going to post a little problem with that one.....on the 407 (a local toll highway) the average speed of cars is 130-140 km/h. Due to the high speeds there are a ton of speed traps for people doing like 180. The thing being if im driving down there doing 130 a cop will pull me over. Driving 140 in a different car i dont even get looked at. Why add any more heat then there already is?

sebastian: yea, let me know what you want, and I'll see what I can do in photoshop. We'll have to have a little photoshoot someday with the club, I can get some good shots to photoshop.

The area still isn't perfectly smooth, I it's hard to get smooth with a flat sander, because it's got a sligh inward curve on the front part of the nose. I think I'm gonna shape a piece of wood to fit the curve, and use it as a sanding block.

when I'm all finished with the body, think you can primer it again? LOL!

gun4hire: yes, I used "plastic weld" to hold the urethane material in place, then used the SEM repair material (like flexable bondo) to smooth everything out. "plastic weld" isn't what it sounds like, it's like really strong glue, made for plastic. and DANG, if that stuff isn't strong!

.... you COULD shave the crack where the fenders meet in the nose piece... thats a very thin crack, and doesn't flex right there.

I thought about it, but changed my mind.

I asked because I have a '91 with the smaller headlights. I thought about taking the earlier formula nose, puling those black 'bumper' things out...moving the turn signals down there along with some fog lights... and raising the recessed area in front of the headlights/turn signals.

Time to fiddle with photoshop.
