Unhappy blinker problem

ok i took my car to inspection and it failed for smoking, but it also failed for the blinker, they told me my blinkers were going too slow for the standards for my car. How do i fix this problem, when i tested them out both sides looked fine. any suggestions?

state inspection has really been pissing me off lately, they kept failing me for stupid things like the blinkers, obstruction of plates (becuase i put a leather bra on the car and mesh was covering the front plate)plus the car isnt smoking bad at all ,yet they refused to put me through emissions. They failed my uncle's brand new harley davidson last week cause his headlight wiggled a little bit. As far as the blinkers go im going to mess with that this afternoon to try and make them speed up. hopefully its not going to be a pain.

Yeah, NJ emissions have become a true pain in the ***. Still, you can find some places that aren't as strict about stupid little things that the computer itself can't test (like a slow blinker; how ridiculous!). Where in NJ are you?

blinker speed is controled by a circuit breaker that creates an electrical path and as soon as heat gets too high it shuts off to cool. as the bi-metallic strip cools it touches the contact and repeats the cycle. Is you want caster blinkers you replace the circuit with an circuit breaker with a bi-metallic strip made out of a differnt meterial that cools faster. Hope that helps!
