Replacing Vents

I saw the thread about dirty vents and it made me think of how one of my vents is cracked. How hard is it to change one. I have found complete sets on e-bay.

The ones in the very center of the car. Its the left one. It won't stay in one place it keeps ending up point up.

Take off your dash, all vents are exposed.

Well how these vents originally came, they had a rubber grommit on the posts that stick into the sides which the vent pivoted on and thats what kept then in place. Im guessing yours are just worn out. Just get something like duct tape and put something on the sides so it catches some friction and wont move all around freely. or you can put a penny on the top of the vent

Yes my ashtray does that. I even had the whole center console off when I was changing my shifter and I couldn't figure it out. It looks like it was made to always be half open.
