Replace fuseable link for fans?
Replace fuseable link for fans?
So I narrowed my fan problem down to a blown fuseable link, although, I have a question aboutt his. The "fuseable link" doesn't really look like anything more than just 2 black connectors coming together as one. I pulled them apart and there is no fuse or anything in there, just some melted plastic so the 2 wires are no longer connecting. Is these how these "fuseable links" work? So how do I replace it? Can I just buy these from Autozone or somewhere?
Re: Replace fuseable link for fans?
According to Chiltons:
Fuseable links use links rather thana fuse, in wiring curcuits not normally fused. The fuseable links are color coded red in thecharging and load circuits to match the color coding of the circuits they protect. each link is 4 guages smaller than thecable it protects and is makred on the insulation with the gauge size because teh insulation makes it appear heavier than it is.
