radiator replacement
radiator replacement
gonna throw in a new radiator this weekend so i figured id come on here and see if anyone had any tips on this job. i never did one in my car and i was wondering if i will need any special tools and how big of a job am i looking at. its my daily driver so i cant have it off the road for too long. any suggestions helpful thanks!
i got a be cool radiator. when i pulled the radiator out i found dry leaves, candy wrappers and cigarette butts in front of it, now it runs like 5* cooler, thought that was pretty funny.
i just used the old fans, it took me about 3 hours and the radiator fit perfect. the only problem was that ABC Auto gave me the wrong upper radiator hose (imagine that
) and the front bolt on the thermostat housing gave me a little trouble, other that it went pretty good.

Even a little over $400 is a great deal... but at least that one is believable. Generally I see them for $550-600. That's why I bought a generic Griffin for $180 and spent a couple nights making it fit.
