How do you get the auto shifter **** off so I can remove that cover plate? Thanks.

 

It depends on what shifter **** you have. It it's a square shifter **** or a "T" handle, then there is a staple in the front of it. Take a pair of pliers and pull it out. If it's a round one, pull the button off and there is a clip in the you have to take off. Hope this helps!
