Question on removing thermostat on 305 TPI

Question Question on removing thermostat on 305 TPI

Hi, on my GTAs 305 TPI do i need to remove the throttle body in order to get the thermostat out or will i be able to pull it out with the throttle body on? Thanks

You should be able to remove it with the throttlebody still on.
I was able to change thermostat housings with the throttlebody still on, the SLP Dual Cold Air Intake comes with a new radiator hose and a housing that exits towards the driver instead of straigt ahead.

It can be done, but I didn't want to fight it. So I just pulled the T-body. Much easier that way. Plus it gave me an excuse to clean it out real good.
