Question about slicks...

im trying to find out what slicks i should go with when i take my iroc to the track. would slicks hurt my rear end in any way? anyone got suggestions on brands or anything else i should know? i just want good traction at the track

Stock 10-bolt? How much power? Auto/Stick?

it's got the stock rear end and it's an automatic... it's stock - FOR NOW im thinking about buying an LT1 or LS1 block and just building a new engine to replace the 5.7 TPI my iroc has - but that's for later

L98, Auto, and 10-bolt. I don't see too much damage, but I certainly wouldn't make a habit out of it. I'm one of those paranoid people though, I don't like taking chances (with my car at least). Later man let us know what you run!

You should be fine, especially with stock gears. A friend of mine has a aluminum cover but other than that a stock 10 bolt. He has run several low 11 second passes with a heavier car than yours. Hopefully, you will have that kind of luck.
