Power Steering Pump, anyone have this happen?

For some reason, the pulley on my power steering pump is loose it seems. It will wiggle in (towards the pump) and out (away from the pump) about 1/8 of an inch. Theres a really annoying knocking as a result of this too. All I did was take that accessory bracket off and laid the pump off to the side, then put the bracket back on when I did my head swap. I cant see how it would mess up the pump up, it was fine before.

Any ideas on a fix here?

How many beers did you have when you put that pump on the ground? Are your pulleys alligned correctly? I wish I had a better answer, but it sounds like your gonna need a trip to the junk yard for a new pump.

Dont feel bad. My other hobby is gunsmithing. I should tell you some of the mistakes Ive made on guns.......Im lucky to be alive.

Lol not enough apparently. But no we didnt even disconnect the lines, just moved it aside you know? Never fell or anything. Pulleys seem to be aligned just fine, I just don't get it. We'll see, I mean the pump still works great, but maybe there is a way I can shim the pulley so that it will not wiggle.

As for the gunsmithing mistakes, humor me while I get another beer, lol.

Several months ago I was handbuilding an AK47 from scrap. I spent countless days on hand drilling and fitting the receiver. Well, after a few cold ones, I decided to skip some assembly steps and go right to the welding. We are men, we can skip steps, right? So, I fire up the welder, weld the rails on and realize.......Not only are they off center, but due to my 'skipped step', the receiver is now permantly warped.
