Question Pilot Bearing

I just took my T5 tranny out to replace the clutch in my 83Z that I just got. I ordered a pilot bearing to replace the bushing as I hear that it is more reliable. To my surprise no bushing is installed!!! I have never installed a pilot bushing before, what steps are invloved and how tight do I get it, flush? I have no reference, since the part was not originally installed, does anyone have a pic? Thanks
