im thinking of doing away with the whole EGR bulll**** on my 89 z28(305). my question in is if i get a new carb(not one with the jets or whatever like stock), new intake manfold, non-egr headers, better cam. and hopfuly if my bros beefed up th350 tranny (if it will fix) will this increass my hp/tq a good amount?

of course going with all NEW aftermarket parts. i ready have an aftermarket aircleaner and aftermarket free flowing exhuast(no cat)

 

a new cam with a matched intake and carb, and headers will definatly increase hp.

just make sure the carb and intake are matched to the cam. you don't want a cam peaking at 5500rpm and an intake that goes to 6500rpms.

however realize that the t350 isn't a direct swap. unless it's specifically designed for it, they do not have the provisions for the torque arm that the Fbody has.

 

Spohn makes a cross member to use the 350 tranny.
