I have a opportunity to buy a Moser 12 bolt that is from a wrote off car. Unfortunately the car is a 98 WS6 Formula, and I am 99% certain that it will not fit my 88 GTA. Right?? So I am wondering if you can get rear ends cut to fit? Has anyone ever heard of this. I need to know ASAP as the rear won't last long at the scrap yard.

you can swap in a 4th gen rearend and all you have to do is change the proportioning valve so that the disc brakes will work

I did this about 2 months ago, i love having posi, disc brakes are SOOOOO much better than drums, and the rear ends are very available and came w/ a bunch of different gears

Isn't the length a little different between 3rd and 4th?

 

i think ive read here that the distance wheel to wheel is like an inch longer but better do a search to make sure. should not make that much of a prob wider is better? </end cliche>

 

a fourth gen rear is 4 inches wider, i.e., 2 inches per side, you can then fit fourth gen/vette wheels using only front spacers though, it will bolt right in though
