I've sold my Lt4 converted S-10 w/ the hot cam, my dad use to have me fire it up just so we could talk leaning against the bed and he loved listening to the hot cam rumble through the pipes.

He's got a 95 C1500 w/ the tbi 350. It's completely stock except for a K&N filter I got him a while back.

I know this isn't really the right place to be asking, but I figured the knowledge would be here.

Is there a cam out there that would idle about like the hot cam and not make the computer freak out? he's got a half breed ecm, so it'd be hard to find something/one to program it.

(just putting christmas/b-day ideas around)

 

I put a 350 TPI roller (208/213 .415/.431 lift on a 114 degree seperation, as I remember) and the idle would hunt about 50 rpm. No check engine lights and it made more power (this was in a 305 TBI Formula). But I don't think the TBI computer would handle much more than that (it idled stock) without some form of programming. That is my take on it anyway. Maybe someone who tried a larger cam than I did will drop in here.
