More questions

Since i have a digital ignition, ive heard i should run like 12-16 degrees timing and i can possibly set the gap on my plugs to .045-.065....is this true and would this possibly help a rich running engine lean out a bit?

Re: More questions

12* timing is definately doable, and 16* probably is as well. I don't know anything about the plug gap. As for your rich condition, that is probably caused because there is not enough air to fully combust the fuel that your fuel system is sending. The ideas you proposed will not help. It is possible that your ignition system is weak and not delivering a strong enough spark, but chances are that your fuel system is to blame.

Re: More questions

Ok because we got it to 8* and it was running like crap and was really weak...had no power. So i put it to 12 and it runs much better but i have yet to drive it. Ok well looks like ill be grabbing some slp runners or something..i deff need more air

im now a big fan of the holley stealth ram. costs just a little bit more than the slp runners, and the HSR is the plenum, runners, and base in one...$550 to modify the intake, or $1000+???

Re: More questions

yea im just not the mood to rip apart eveyrthing all over again ...ive been waiting forever to drive this thing. Id rather just grab the runners from someone on the boards for cheaper and just swap them on. Plus i like tpi torque

Re: More questions

yeah thats true, torque is fun. but honestly it doesnt feel like i lost much torque at all. Now it puts me back in my seat and keeps me there through the rest of the gear rather than fading at 4500rpm.
