Not sure on the minitub, but S&W sells a complete rear sub frame kit to mount big ole tires under a 3rd gen.

No such thing as a minitub on a third gen. The frame rails, if you can call them that on a third gen, are already at the inner fenders. The best thing you can do is to cut off the bump stops, cut out the section over the spring and replate with a thinner piece of sheet metal and cut out the front inside corner if your wheels are too tall to fit.

This is a perfect question.. I want to know as well.. I know I will probably have to roll the fender lip, bang in the inner fender alittle.. but what rim dimensions should use... I have a 4th gen rear so that throws things off too???? I want a 17 inch rear rim. like a 315/17/35.. But what should I get the backspacing like?
