Mid-Lengths?

Is there any aftermarket company that makes Mid-Length headers for 3rd gens?

I know its probly a dumb question but if some aftermarket company made these things they'd probly make a killing!!

I am installing a T56 Transmission into my car, I'd like to run Hooker LT's with a Mufflex Ypipe however i've told it doen't clear the Tranny, it hits it

Looks like i have to stick with the SLP shorties  Any other ideas folks?

True duals are out of the question, i havea Borla, paid 600 bucks and i like the sound alot so at this time i'm not gonna get rid of it.

I don't see how Hooker longtubes could hit the tranny. The clutch hydros maybe, but not the tranny....and if that's the case then a nice hot torch and some pulling on the header collector might give you the clearance you need. I have the T-56 in my RS and want to put longtubes in it, I just don't have the cash right now.

A thought: remember the Flowtech Afterburner tri-y longtube headers? Seems to me that the collector started waaay up by the cylinder head...if you were ambitious you could find a set of them and chop the collector flange off and move it up to right behind the 4th primary joint (the y part of the tri-y). I know they made then for the 3rd gens because a friend of mine almost bought some. Just an idea.....

I don't know what state you're in, but a small header company here in Michigan builds them on a made to order basis. My buddy Greg has a 84 Z28 with a t56, and he made those headers you want for that car. They are long tubes, but have a custom 3" Y-pipe all installed similar to LS1 style with a custom trans crossmember.

Call them at 586-949-3400 ask for Greg, tell him Mike sent you.
