Map sensor vac port

My neighbour has an '87 Firebird. It's 305/350 (not sure) with a quadrajet. I was looking at it today and noticed that the MAP sensor on the left side of the firewall has no vac line running to it. Where should this be hooked up to? There are no spare ports, but the lines have been messed with anyway, so if there was a t adapter, it's long gone..
Also, There is an EFE that runs off a vac line. This is some type of valve on the passenger exhaust downpipe. This I see hookes to a T with the PCV line. The T is missing and this isn't hooked up. What does it do and will it hurt not being connected.
Thanks.

Re: Map sensor vac port

I can provide some info, but I'm not a carb expect. Hopefully someone who is will post here.

If the engine is stock, its a 305 called the LG4. The MAP sensor should be hooked up to a vacuum source from under the throttle blades. I dont think it matters much which one. The EFE valve is for cold starts. It closes when the engine is cold and that sends the exhaust back thru the intake manifold to heat it up faster and provide better fuel/air atomization. After the engine warms up, the valve opens and the exhaust travels normally thru both exhaust manifolds.
