I love the magnaflow system for 4th gens, the big 3" polished tips....and I hear it makes a good sound.....what doesn't fit? I mean....the only custom piece would have to be after it turns past the tranny so it fits into the cat right?

 

Why not have something custom made with a MagnaFlow or muffler of your choice. Most shops can do it for the same price as a typical catback plus they would be installing it while they designed it. So i guess you'd save installation money?

Call magnaflow and see if they sell the 4th gen rear section ONLY, then have that installed with a custom fitted I-Pipe. I think you're right about that being the only part that doesn't fit properly on a thirdgen. Goodluck!

 

I actually had a custom bent exhaust put in with the magnaflo muffler put in and I love it. You cannot hear it much in the car but on the outside it sounds rather nice.

 

I also want to get the magnaflow cat-back for 93-97 camaros. It is pretty cheap and I love the tips. Also it is different because ususally people are running flowmasters or hookers. I have talked to some people and it everything should connect right. The only problem you will run into are the hangars since they are different on 3rd and 4th gens. I say just order the catback and let a shop install it. They should be able to fab it up to work. If you do it let me know cuz I am very curious to hear what it sounsd like

 

Well my 2 requirements are it want all SS, and I love those 3" duel tips....I have welding equip and I can install it all myself. I wonder if magna flow sells only the tips, I can buy a SS 3" in/out muffler and make my own I pipe....
