LT4 hotcam in 305 TPI

I recently purchased a LT4 hotcam to put into my 1991 z28 w/ 305 tpi and 5 speed
will the cam go right in w/ no probs?
Any tips?
Do I have to take the intake clear apart or just take the whole thing off?
thanks

You'll have to cut the pin on the end as its long to drive the opti spark. Other than that, its a normal cam install.

you'll have to remove all the intake stuff, distributor, and allthe valve train as well (lifters, etc.) Then just weasle the cam outta there, lube the new one up and weasle it back in. Be REAL gentle. The insturctions in the hanes manual are pretty good, actually.

also, make sure you get the timing aligned correctly when you install the new cam.

Don't forget that you may need new valve springs as well.
LT4 hotcam with 1.5 rockers is .492 lift.

Your stock cam is one of these,

305 5spd / 305 AT .350 .384
305 G92 5spd / 350 AT .413 .428
