lt1 in 3rd gen

i needed some help on this swap i have a 91 camaro z wit no engine or tranny but it also has no harness at all so the car is bare im in the process of gettin an lt1 from a 97 z28. knda of know what is needed the only problem i have is if the car ( my 91 ) has no computer or harness what is the best thing to do..... i do need the computer of the lt1 for sure but do i need the 1 from the 91 as well thnx..

The "sticky" in this 3rd gen section says something about splicing the LT1 computer into the factory 3rd gen Bulkhead.So it looks like you might need both.

If your not a member of thirdgen.org, go join. They have a whole section, and literally thousands of pages on this. Im doing the swap now. Well, Im in the middle of buying parts. There are members over there who can build custom harmesses (I have one being built now, for $500, with the computer), and lines. They can answer any question you can come up with. IF you can read and understand a wiring diagram it is cake. Other wise look into painless wiring or Howell (sp?) wiring for a harness. Either way a LT1 in a thirdgen is a blast! My next adventure is a thirdgen vert with a LSX and a T-56
