I have a 89 Iroc with a LB9 305 tpi. A guy offered me a 95 LT1 (wireing & CPU included.) for $1,250. Is the upgrade worth the trouble?... And how much work is it?...Will my 700R4 work?

 

If the mileage is low enough the engine is worth what he's asking, you'll want to get a 4L60E from a 4th gen, your R4 *could* be made to work, but trust me the 60E turns out a LOT nicer.

Is it worth the effort ? Yes every single day you drive it, some morons might try to argue this, though they cant seem to defend themself when an LT1 thirdgen runs just as fast or faster for less money, just make excuses.

 

I haven't regretted once the fact that I put an LT1 in mine!

How close are you to michigan? I have a 94 LT1 w/80K miles w/harness and PCM(has VATS, EGR. AIR and trans codes programmed out) for $1000 OBO, and I can hook you up with a 93 TB so you can use a 700R4

 

I like that color of your car!! Do you have the color code?...Like to paint mine that color....beautiful!!

 

I honestly don't know the code. My car has been repainted but I thought that the color mine is, was stock.
