anyone know a good place to get an lt1

 

I got my 94 Vette Lt1 from a junk yard with 69k miles on it for $1000. IMO, they are very high on Ebay but sometimes you can get lucky. I have also seen them here in the classifieds going pretty reasonably. I'd start calling around the junk yards first and then the f-body/GM specific ones to get an idea. The Impala SS ones and 9c1 Caprice motors were cheaper when I was looking about a year ago. Good luck.

junk yard here too....mine came out of a 96z that was totalled. I got everything from the radiator to the drive shaft(including the computer/harness/torque arm) for $1400 and it had 23k miles on it. I know i got a good deal. But i should have gone for the vette engine with a t-56 for $1500 with 53k miles, i would have loved that set up.....oh well, i love my lt-1 (at times )
