well ill tell u whats up i have an 88 camaro tbi and i am looking to make some big power with a new motor i have a 700r4 with 30m km since the rebuild and a 5 speed manual from a parts car i want to know what tranny should i use and i have a 350 tpi motor from the same year car what i want to know is how to make a potent motor what kindd of cam has worked well what bolt on parts, i am taking a automotive class so i have access to whatever tools necessary and if anybody could help with some suggestions it would be much appriceated i want to make a street strip car that will waste all the mustangs and all the imports on the road

 

get yourself a cam (don't know TPI cams.. gonna have to wait for someone else to chime in..), a good set of Hedman headers and y-pipe, a custom mandrel bent 3" exhaust, a hi-flow race cat if you are gonna keep it, an aftermarket TPI system, shift kit, some aftermarket heads or since you work in a shop for school just port/polish/5-angle valve job your heads yourself
