That is a GORGEOUS IROC UtOhCop.. if you can afford that car AND an engine swap, then go for it. Judging by your other posts/threads in the lounge and your current cars you have money so I see nothing wrong with buying that IROC and then swapping out the 305 for the ZZ383

85,

I'm passing on that IROC. They won't come down on there price of 9K and i don't want to spend 9K then another 10K for a new engine/Tranny.

I'm picking up a 89 IROC for 900 dollars instead.

Ouch, 9 grand is quite a bit of money. So how is the condition of the IROC that is only 900 bucks?

The one i'm buying for 900 has a few problems. Rear hatch doesn't close right because the motor is ****ed, Engine oil pan seal is leaking, Tranny cable is leaking, needs a new headliner. Other small things.

Told the guy i'm taking it but there are a few other ones around here for around the same price i'm going to look at first. I only care about no rust.. I can handle ****ty paint and interior. A 4th gen interior swap is on my list of things to do.

As long as the body is in good shape it sounds like a good project car.

Sounds like a really good deal Headliners are notorious for being shatty on third gen's because nobody knows how to do a good job on them when re-headlining.
I agree though, I can deal w/ having a re-paint.. but rust pisses me off lol.
