Anyone know what a sbc short block weighs?

 

I'd have to take my best guess around 200lb's+ I'll bet. I've always had it either in a cradle, or on the stand.
My new engine with AFR aluminum heads and miniram intake on the cradle weighed enough that we needed 3-4 guys to lift it off the back of the Toyota Tundra to set it on the ground.

Block alone is close to 200lbs. If by "shortblock" you mean a compete assembly minus heads and intake you are looking at ~325lbs. It will depend on the components (obviously). Cast vs. forged crank, alminum vs. stamped pan, and so on.
