better to spend your money on a custom chip and piggy back it with your 305Prom,
assuming you swapped the 350 in and not the 5 speed,

plus then you can get a chip made for a stick 350 and pick up some power while your at it,

a 350 will run fine on a 305 prom

Re: L98 Prom

well i wasn't really lookin for a chip for my 88 but i guess since you said i could get some more power out of it since it is a 5-spd, and it does have a 350 chip, the tranny was put in not the motor. where would be a could cheap place to get a chip for it?? and then could i just put my 88 l98 chip in my 87???

but i was really lookin for a chip for my 87 which is im hopeing is a 350 instead of the stock 305, chech out my other thread "is it a 305 or 350". i wanted a 350 chip for it cuase it if is a 350, then it has a 305 chip in it and i wan't to get the right chip, but i guess u said a 350 runs fine on a 305 chip and my 87 runs awesome but it doesn't quite have the ***** as my 88

my bro was running his 350 with a 305 prom fine,

but it would run better with a 350 prom,

if anything go buy a hypertech for an 89 350,
but if you got the stock 19# 305 injectors or its a 305 the car will run lean which is not good

There should not be any wires to deal with as far as I can recall. Since there is no meter to deal with, the caf should just start and ren base off of the calculated values.
