hey guys today on my way home my 89camaro rs TBI all of a sudden it dies on me so i bearly made it to a parking lot i have a full tank of gas all my guages were reading right the temp was at 220 which is normal dont have a clue of what went wrong any one please help..WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK IT MIGHT BE??????ANY ADDVISE WILL HELP THANKS.....

 

Take your battery and alternator to autozone to have them checked out. That's where I'd start.

 

yea my 1986 z28 camaro did the same thing last year cause it sat for a year and then my uncle gave it to me. Come to find out from all the problem solving to find what was going wrong and it was some type of coil or something in the distributor do to currosion and took the stuff i needed out of a chevelle ss distributor. So from what i have read and what i have experenced is something wronge with ur igntion stuff from battery, alt, ing coil, distributor, or something in that range that will just make ur car just die or cut off, but if i am wrong then i and wronge never hurts to take something apart to see whats wrong with it.

 

yeah i hope its something simple i hope its not my fuel pump????...before this happend i had my car scanned it two codes came up but i cant remember what they are but anyways one of them is high voltage on the alternator but the alternator is like new??..then the second one is a EGR valve..i think it might be the alternator that just died....thanks

 

well guys i found out what was the problem its was the ingition moduel so i replace the cap,rotor,coil and the ingition moduel and started right up ..thanks for all your guys help...
