KIlled My Rear last night at the track!

I was going 4 the 14.9 spot since i had run 15flat 4 times before
but i did a little to much of a burnout at the box and felt somthing give but i staged her anyways and 1l2l3lgo and she launch's Hard with No wheelspin at all
and then BAAAAAAM!!! That felt like a train just hit me,And that was that now she's gettin a POsi /and im installing my headers/intake and my little 305 will be 14's all day long,not bad for a 300dollar car ehh

I don't know how you stage, but with a stock rear, ALWAYS pre-load the rear by power-braking a little, it'll remove backlash and avoid "shocking" the rear and breaking parts.

I guess ill just buy new spider gears. Nothing else is hurt.

how do you do this? i never heard anything of it...??

Powerbrake?, Just bring up the rev's a little while staying on the brake too. It gets the slack out of the drivetrain, important for not breaking stock parts.
I've broken 2 rears in the past, one when I was rolling "back" out of a drive but didn't completely stop before trying to go forward. And the other from going from brake to gas too quickly.
