IROC overheated... HELP!!!

Well as the title says my 88 305 tpi IROC overheated and popped something. Their is coolant in the oil to the tune of a nice thick milkshake. I drained out almost 11 litres of the stuff when I undid the oil plug. Well what is my next course of action. I bought some new head gaskets and all necessary stuff to redo the topend. Any help would be appreciated. OH any idea why only one fan was coming on??

THANX

One fan in controlled by the ECM and the other is controlled by the fan switch in the right side of the motor in the head if it is a TPI unit. Maybe one fan is broke or maybe your relays are bad or maybe your fan switch in the head is broke. Hard to say without testing.

You would need all the intake and head gaskets and also need to take the head off to an engine shop to see if it is cracked or needs to be decked.
