Need a chip burnt
#2
someone local with dyno access and one that can drive the car....call around and check out local car shows. if you can find an f-body club that caters to all years in your state that will help. do not mess with over the counter or mail order chips unless it's your last result.
if you do have to do such a thing understand that it will take several tries of shipping back and forth with data to get it right and do not drive the car until it's dead on as close as you need it.
do yourself a favor and learn a bit about the tunning process too. www.thirdgen.org has a great forum section on diy prom burning. read up a bit and understand a few of the major points with tunning so you will know what to look for yourself.
once you get a basis of what's going on there are alot of people here that can help you as well. if you go into the situation blind and trust any fool with a laptop and a paypal account you could wind up getting burnt and loosing your motor.

Thanks for the info. I have access to a dyno pretty much anytime I need it. My buddy bought one and runs it at his shop. Im trying to find someone locally who will burn it and Im trying hard to understand the whole chip burning stuff but Im kinda struggling through it. Thanks again.

I got my chip burned by a guy named Bryan at www.tbichips.com. I just sent him my mods and he burned one. He said if he didn't get it right the first time he would make it right. Very good prices. He's located in Archdale, NC. I never had to send my chip back to him. My car is a 92 z28.

unless someone has the exact same combo to a "T" built by the same person making things as identical at possible i do not believe any tuner can get an engine right on the first chip. it may run decent...even good but it can always be perfected. unless that said person had the car there at their disposal to fine tune it i would question the first try on a motor. especially a heavily modified motor which doesn't have to mean power.
just be careful...

I call BS on the first time perfect burn on the chip. I made 6 revisions in 1 hour on the dyno with everything at my disposal.
I bet he has your car running fat so he doesn't blow up your motor.
