Question info on superchargin a 350

ive been thinkin about puttin a supercharger on my 350 small block, first of all can i just put the supercharger on the motor without having to do anything to it(in terms of having to rebuild some of it), if not, what do i gotta do? i'd also like to put an enderle style hood scoop on the supercharger so how big of a supercharger can i go with and still be able to drive it around to school and all to show it off, i want a sweet lookin car with lots of power, but still keep it highway driveable and i don't wanna have to do a whole lot to the motor to put the supercharger on it. how much money am i lookin at for everything its gonna take to have this set up? thanks
Dustin

how old are you, do you have an i dea on how much a supercharger costs? if you supercharge your engine i would suggest a rebuilt and maybe some aftermarket fuel injectors. and with reguards to the hood, what are you talking about, are you asking if a supercharger would fit under the hood, if so, most superchargers made for our cars fit under the stock hood.

i would suggest procharger, they keep the engine colder.

You might have to drop your compression to 8:1 to run a charger with great boost. How much power do you plan to make? depending on your answer, you might have to really make some mods to the block so it will hold up.

Honestly, for the cost of a super charger, I would build up the engine with no forced induction, then later put the supercharger on. You'll get alot more power that way if you build the engine up (especialy if you have the cam and compression right for forced induction)

I would think the SC cams are different from the NA cams. If you are going to do that, maybe you should put in a cover for the camshaft that is in 2 pieces so you can take it out without having to disturb the oil pan.

With a turbo you'd have to plumb an intercooler in and our cars are not that spacious.
