I have a 1984 Z28 5.0 H.O. and I just installed a hypertech stage 1 chip with new spark plugs and new spark plug wires. What my question is now it is idling erratically. It has an awesome rev and is fine at part throttle or WOT, but now it'll idle at 750rpm and then slowly die off. Maybe with the new chip a new fuel pump? Any help you guys can provide would be great. I tryed raising basic idle speed but it still dies off. Carburater rebuild? Thanks!

Take off the chip and see if that cures the problem. If it does, put the chip on and if it comes back, remove chip and return it. I never trust an off the shelf chip.
