idle problem

ok, i dont have a third gen, but i do have a 1988 chevy truck with the 350/tbi. sometimes when i start up (cold) it does not want to idle. it barely runs and usually dies. i have to force it to run until the temp comes up enough for it to run on its own. even then it is idled lower than normal. it does not do this all the time. i have replaced the tps and the iac. it does not throw the ses light. it is very annoying. any suggestions?? thanks. mike

yes, it has been checked numerous times. 0 deg with computer unplugged. like i said, it does it for a few days or weeks and then it will act right for a few days or weeks.

i set it at zero because that is what is says to set it to. i will try 8 and see.

today, i gave it a pat on the gas before i started it. it started and ran fine. but, this evening i did the same and it idled real low. driving me crazy. several months ago my wife had it towed home because she could not keep it running. i kept telling her how to keep it running, but you know. of course, i was out of town.
