the hot wire to the ign. switch.

theres also this cool thing my dad got off ebay for his 71 SS Chevelle...it goes on the neg. battery terminal and the cable bolts onto it and it has a screw on/off **** on it. if u take the **** off its just like taking off the neg. battery cable. in other words, nothing will work...the car wont start. sounds like a better idea to me then tryin to splice in a switch in the ignition system.

hope that helps

Both have been around for quite a while......Old school style dictated that you put the switch on the rocker panel under the drivers side door. I prefer on-star, and my insurance company.

how bout the wire in the fuse block going to the ECM?

you could also use it to clear codes when/if you need to, and if you park it for a while like at an airport.

Do what i did. Wire one up for your door locks in case u get locked out. I put mine on a switch inside the fog light tube. You have to get down and reach real far to use it so no one knows. SHhh. It has saved me a couple times. As for the disconnect use your vats wires. They are under the dash and easy to get at. Just splice it and run a switch to where ever, i was thinking about putting a switch in the console ashtray out back. As in open the ask tray up in the back, put your fingers up in it and flip the switch so its hidden and no one is the wiser.

take your door panel off. Get at the wires leading from the lock switch. Use speaker wire to splice it with and just run the wire to where ever you want your switch to be.
