Ok so far I have replaced the coil, pick-up coil, ignition module, condenser pack, and cap & rotor. I have wired the distributor straight to the battery to show that its getting its 12v+ and the ignition isnt bad. And all I still get is 2 seconds or so of running time. What the hell could it be? I need to know, please help if you have an idea or know what it is
I just replaced the fuel pump and strainer as well as rewiring it straight to the ignition cuz the fuel pump relay was cutting out. I do have a holley pro-injection setup on it and you can see it spraying all the time the ignition is on, and more so when the starter is engaged just like its supposed to. I know its not clogged cuz its spraying nice and hard.
I thought about this and when it started and I dont think itll matter but dammit im going to try. I was having a problem with the starter wires going threw the bulkhead. I wasnt getting the signal when it was hot and eventually it was all the time. So I reran the starter wire straight off the starter to the passenger side fender where all my pro-injection wires run and into the passenger compartment to the ignition switch and my remote starter stuff. Maybe something in there needs that signal? I dont know, but im going to reattach those wires and see what happens. Next step is either torch or a 18 circuit Painless harness step up and a stripped out interior to save weight
I posted that on another site and pasted it here and since I did I now have no fire at all. I cant seem to get it to fire at all now with all new parts.

How about ground? I had problems like yours until I ran grounds from the intake to the heads from the heads to the frame on both sides and to the firewall, from the battery to fender. May sound like overkill, but I haven't a problem since.
Your entire ignition system grounds through the block, as well as the starter, alternator, and every sensor on the motor. Since you've already replaced everything else, it's a good thing to check. The block should be grounded to the firewall, and to the battery. The battery should also be grounded to the chassis, and the connections all need to be clean and tight. Make sure you scrape off the paint where you ground to the chassis and firewall.
TTT I was page 6
I forgot to say that I tested the voltage and im getting the same voltage on a bolt on the intake at the water outlet as the battery itself. Now it wont even run!
