I have a 1987 Iroc camaro with a 10 bolt differential. My question is did the 87 irocs come with a 26 spline or 28 spline axle? And which of the two can I run 3.73 or 4.10 gears in?

My car has been non running because I can't figure which I have so I can replace the broken one. Please help!

 

You have 26 spline axle shafts and what gears you can use depends on the series carrier you have. And my guess its a 2-series. And the RPO code For a Limited Slip rear is G80.

 

I'm not sure what splined axles you have, but they have nothing to do with the gearing that you can run. You can run any gear ratio as the ring bolts to the carrier, and the axles lock to the carrier (simplified, actually they lock to the posi unit....). If its broken, why don't you pull it apart and start counting to make sure you get the right answer?
